Structural Osteopathy

Structural Osteopathy, is the most common part of Osteopathy and is the main focus of modern osteopathic training in the UK.

Structural osteopathic techniques focus on spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage and stretch. The techniques can vary from being gentle to strong depending on the condition treated and the individuals overall health.

Spinal or joint manipulations can be beneficial to improve range of movement and function as it interrupts pain pathways to the central nervous system. However, joint manipulations are not suitable for everyone and are not essential for treatment sucess.
